Have Any Of You Heard About Dream Cat Venus?
Hi, this is Jesse. I thought this article from cnet.co.uk was interesting because it gives an example of technology for the elderly (a group typically weary of technology) in the form of a friendly house cat. This cat/android is amazing. I think it's interesting that people who may have a fear or be intimidated by technology may be open to it through something that seems familiar and not threatening. My 84 year old mother lives in an assisted living apartment home. She proudly insists that she will never touch a computer but she recently started playing Nintendo Wii. She and her friends compete against each other at the bowling game and they love it. (Don't tell here that it's a computer.)
